Pictela’s Pushdown Ad Named IAB "Rising Star"

New York, NY, February 28, 2011 – Pictela (www.pictela.com) announced today that its Pushdown display advertising format is among six winners of the Interactive Advertising Bureau’s (IAB) 2011 “Rising Stars” competition to develop new creative standard ad units that will help transform brand marketing on the Web. The actual IAB format will be known as IAB Pushdown. Pictela currently supports four of the remaining IAB standard ad units.

Pictela’s Pushdown display ad format is already live in the marketplace – to extraordinary excitement among brand marketers, publishers and consumers. Pictela’s ad unit was selected from among three dozen submissions by an IAB panel of agency creative directors, media executives and ad operations’ specialists for their potential to drive brand equity at scale. The IAB Rising Stars will now be evaluated in the marketplace based on consumer and business adoption, and new IAB standard ad units will be named by the end of the year.

The IAB has been the standard-setting body for interactive advertising formats since 1997. Seven IAB-standard ad units comprise approximately 80 percent of all online ads served in the U.S.
